We need a Junior Financial Analyst to join our REMOTE TEAM.
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Junior Finance Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in finance and gain valuable experience.

You possess:
- Proficiency in accounting software, like QuickBooks.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including the ability to create spreadsheets, charts, and use financial functions for analysis.
- Strong data collection and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Dedication to maintaining confidentiality and ethical behavior.
- Solid time management skills: we do not believe in micro-managing our people
The perfect candidate will also possess:
- A diploma in accounting or finance, or equivalent, is required.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting
- A desire to work towards a professional designation in finance is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
Remote Requirements:
- Private home office to ensure confidentiality.
- High speed internet
Job Duties:
Data Capturing:
- Conduct bank reconciliations.
- Record credit card transactions.
- Capture and record payments received.
- Prepare and submit GST & PST returns – monthly
- Prepare and submit WCB returns annually.
- Assist with year-end preparations.
Accounts Payable:
- Send invoices for approval.
- Capture and record accounts payable data.
Accounts Receivable:
- Follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Collect cash from clients.
- Generate and send invoices on a monthly basis.
Administration:
- Add new employees to our systems and engage with third-party engagements (time and attendance software).
- Set up new client accounts in systems such as QuickBooks, Salesforce and time and attendance software.
- Assist Sales Advisors as needed with tasks like Certificates of Insurance, insurance queries, and vendor forms.
- Support Consultants with various queries, including time entry, available client service agreement support hours, and client requests.
- Conduct and participate in internal client debriefings
- Prepare and provide time and attendance software reporting on Work in Progress (WIP).
