We need a Manager, Professional Development to join our REMOTE TEAM 

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and technically skilled Manager, Professional Development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, designing, and managing comprehensive training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge for our employees and clients. The role involves creating and designing training material leveraging subject matter experts and tracking learning effectiveness.

You possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Organizational Management/Development, Education or equivalent
  • Asset: Master’s degree in Adult Education, Learning and Development or equivalent
  • Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in learning and development or a similar role with a focus on training and development.
  • Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods, and be familiar with e-learning platforms and practices
  • Strong knowledge and application of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems.

 The perfect candidate will also possess:

  • Experience in accounting - specifically in broad knowledge of financial statements

Remote Requirements:

  • Private home office to ensure confidentiality.
  • High speed internet

Job Duties:

  • Create and produce engaging and effective curriculums and courses for internal and external participants, including e-learning modules, webinars, video tutorials, quick reference guides, and other job aids.
  • Design and co-develop multimedia content for e-learning, including audio, video, illustrations, animations, and interactive content using relevant, current and/or emerging technologies.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts and leaders to establish learning objectives and develop curriculum and courses.
  • Recommend appropriate e-learning strategies and materials based on learning theory for the desired project objectives.
  • Ensure the continuous update and organization of all educational materials and resources. Stay informed about the latest technological advancements, software upgrades, and innovative initiatives involving the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Assess, analyze, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make any necessary modifications.
  • Monitor and report on the results and value gained from training initiatives. Evaluate training data and performance metrics to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
  • Responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) in accordance with the company's branding and style guide standards.
  • Manage and provide technical support for the Learning Management System (LMS), which includes assisting users with basic inquiries, troubleshooting reported issues, and maintaining system functionality to support users' needs.
  • Effective time management can prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in an organized manner and complete assigned tasks within the framework and required timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant training regulations and standards. (NASBA)
  • Optimize training resources provided by software vendors and collaborate with the learning management software providers to maximize software utilization.
  • Such other duties may be assigned at the discretion of FHB.
